Hopefully this is the beginning of a useful service helping life scientists and people involved in research to get the idea about the level of salaries for a variety of different positions in biotech, pharma and academia. Salary is just one component of the overall job offer, but it's usually one of the most important ones. Therefore doing your research up front will prepare you as what to expect from a particular employer in a specific region of the world. Knowing how much you can do and where, can also help you in making the decision on whether to relocate and if so, what would be the best place to go to. Wages in our businnes, similarly as in any other payable activity largely depend on demand and saturation of the market with proffesionals like you, the cost of living and the wealthness of the country. We want to help you make the right choice.

Our intention is to provide you with the info about average levels of stipends and salaries in biotech, pharma and academia in different countries. We also discuss salary scales applied in academia like e.g. NIH salary scale in US. Additionally, we provide real life examples of wages from universities and companies around the world.

As this is a non-profit website, our resources are personal and somewhat limited but hey, you have to start somewhere :) New info will be added systematically.
